Haiti and Stuff

As most of you know, I am leaving for Haiti tomorrow with a team of 13 people. I have a lot of homework to make up, but most of it I am taking with me. My science teacher told me to take him back something scientific and he will reduce my homework, which is REALLY nice seeing how much homework I have already.

Here are my prayer requests for this trip:
-The plane will be able to take off on time, and we won't be late for any flights
-Troy and Tara and everyone are all rested up and we won't be too much of a bother for them
-My homework is easy to do and/or won't take me much time to do it
-One of my friends is at the mission still... long story, won't go into details
-That I don't fall off the mountain when we are going up to the church on Saturday... yikes
-All of our bags come through (both times)

That is all I can think of right now, but it looks like a lot to me. Hmm... oh well. Thank you for any prayers you have already... um... what do you say to that? Given? Said? Prayed? I don't know, but thanks anyways... lol.

I think that is about it for that part, but I am going to add some pics probably later of people at school... maybe. If I remember, otherwise, I will just do it when I get back if I feel like it. So that is all for now. Au revoir...

Mom's Request

I had this balloon from my birthday on December 17. I was keeping it in my room and finally got to taking it out and my birthday/Christmas cards down. I always do this with any helium balloons I get, and I just got the new camera that can take video with sound for up to 2 hours. I figured this would be fun. It was. My mom was taking the video, and she started crying she was laughing so hard. And just so everyone that threatened "payback" after the last post... I think this counts, don't you? But is it considered payback if I do it? Hmmm... well, I think so!!

Homegroups and New Camera Finally...

My fabulous new camera that I took all of these with... I couldn't get it any closer without it getting blurry, so this is as close as it gets.
Chad and Tammy
Crazy Caleb
Crazy Katie
Nate... how rude!
Lauren... awww...
My dad

BJ MHC (aka Brenda)

Lauren took my camera and took this of her eye I think..Lauren took this one too, but I helped her a little with it.

Here is the wonderful video I took during homegroups, sorry it is so long, I didn't want to turn it off. And the part where it gets blurry is where I had to clean it off because Caleb was spitting at it. Sorry about that... :) I think there is sound, but I am not 100% sure of it. If there isn't I will be very angry though... so hopefully there will be sound to this. It would be very unfunny if it was mute.

Brenda, a rock, and a swim suit...

Since this story was so highly requested, I figured I could post about this today since I didn't feel like downloading my pictures yet. Which I probably should, but I REALLLLY don't want to, so I am just not going to. Here is the infamous (I think that word could go there...) story:

There once was a chick named Brenda. She decided it would be a most excellent idea to travel to Haiti with a 13 year old chick and a 16 year old guy that both find enjoyment in teasing her. What a mistake... They all went to the Wahoo Bay resort with the rest of the team chicks and guys. Brenda's next mistake was when she thought to tell some people that she flips out when people grab her feet underwater. Long story that I can't remember though... So the 16 year old guy thinks it would be funny to grab her feet underwater and see how loud she screams. The discovery: she screams in loud. The 13 year old girl thought she would try an experiment too, after seeing how well the 16 year old's experiment went. She decides to see what would happen if Brenda just so happened to have a rock placed in her swimsuit. As all good researchers do, the experiment must be repeated more then once to get good results. So the 13 and 16 year olds repeated both of their experiments to get the results accurately. Brenda screams loud every time, and pulls the rock out of her swimsuit ALMOST every time. This is where the title of this story comes in. The 13 year old picked up a rock, pulled back Brenda's swimsuit a little bit, and put the rock in. Brenda turned around and felt her back, but never noticed the rock. The 13 year old swims away quickly to avoid and punishment for her experiment that Brenda might have granted her with. Later, the team went to go have dinner at the resort. They all sat in wooden chairs in their swimsuits. The team noticed that it was raining fairly hard during dinner, but didn't think much about it because it had been doing exactly the same thing the rest of the week, and nothing had happened. Dinner was finished while listening to the sounds of the rain falling outside, and the team headed out to the trucks to venture home. The rain stayed the same speed and power for a while, but soon it grew stronger and heavier. Brenda still had the rock in her swimsuit. The trucks drove home for a while avoiding "lakes" in the roads, and almost made it there when they had to stop. The canal on the edge of the road was overflowing, and the road was blocked. The trucks could not go through. Neither could the team, including Brenda, the 13 year old chick and the 16 year old guy. The chauffeurs drove the trucks to a side road, where the trucks could be parked until they could be driven over the drowning road again. The team, still including Brenda, the 13 year old and the 16 year old, had to walk the rest of the way back. There was poop-water pouring out of the side of the wall surrounding the mission and everyone got even more wet if that is humanly possible. The team finally made it inside the gates. Two of the older missionary kids stayed back with the baby, and the oldest missionary kid made everyone brownies. However, half the team went to the other house because they were not informed of this information. When they did find out, everyone just decided to stay in their swimsuits because it was still raining extremely hard outside, so they were going to get wet anyways. The brownies were fantastic, and once everyone was done, half the team headed back to the other house for showers and bed. Brenda was going to take a shower. She went into her room and started taking off her swimsuit when she her a "klunk, klunk, klunk" on the ground. When she looked down, she discovered the rock that the 13 year old had put in her swimsuit. Brenda started laughing and when she was done with her shower, found the 13 year old and showed her the rock. Now, you might be asking how Brenda never felt this rock in her swimsuit. Her swimsuit happened to be on backwards. But still, this rock was pointy and not round at all. It was a fairly big rock too, but she never felt it. Brenda took this rock home with her and it is now her "Tori Rock."

Oh my that was a lot of typing. In case you didn't notice, the 13 year old is me, and the 16 year old is my friend Aaron. Both of us are going on the trip NEXT WEEK!!! but we haven't decided who to pick on this trip. Hmm.... I don't know.

School tomorrow, and I guess I have made you read enough, so I will stop typing now. That is good too, because my fingers are going numb from typing that story. You are so welcome. Ok, so my fingers aren't really going numb, but they sure are getting sore. I will post about homegroups/new camera soon. And another funny video from today. And maybe the pictures from today that my madre took. And I can post about school. Wow, that is a lot. I will try to get all of that in before I leave NEXT WEDNESDAY!! but I don't know if I will remember.

Ok, good night folks.

More Randomness

Cran-Hill was fun. I waited too long to post about it, so I don't remember many details. Oops. I took some silly string with me that has been sitting here in our house for like 3 years. We (me and Anna) really wanted to silly string Melissa, so we came up with a plan. First, we were going to do it at night, but we didn't want to wake anyone up, so we scratched that plan. Then we just decided to go into her room, I hid around the corner, and Anna told her we had to ask her something. Melissa came out and Anna was talking to her for a second and then I pulled out the silly string and silly stringed her. It took her a second to realize what was happening, but when she did... Wow. I have never seen her run so fast before. Later, I was sitting on my bed and I saw Mrs. Hill walking past. I asked her to come over and then she was going to, but she saw the silly string, so she was like "NO!" and walked away. Melissa walked past a little later, and I asked her to come over because I had to tell her a secret. So she did. I was hiding the silly string under the bed post kind of so she couldn't see it, and I stringed her again. Most of the time I was hanging out with Dani and Anna and Kelly and Devon (Kelly's cousin)... but me and Devon hung out a lot together for having never known each other before. We went over to the guys's cabin and hung out with them for a while, but then they kicked us out at bedtime so we started making snow angels outside. There are so many other stories I could tell, but I don't think you would understand or maybe even want to know about. So there is Cran-Hill.

The Littlest Petshops story is boring so I am skipping that one. Sorry Nate and Brenda...

The Crayon story is kind of boring too, so I am skipping that one too. Sorry...

Homegroups and my new camera go together, so I will update about that when I feel like uploading pictures, which will be soon. So skipping that one for now... sorry again.

And now for Haiti... I AM LEAVING IN 8 STINKIN' DAYS!!!!! But, it's not like I'm excited or anything. Where would you get a crazy idea like that? Haha...

Homegroups and new camera story coming soon!!

Not what you expected, but still an update...

Mrs. Hill (aka Jennifer) is making me do this crazy meme thing. Thanks a bunch...

The rules are as follows: Simply link to the person who tagged you. SHARE SEVEN WEIRD things about yourself. Tag SEVEN bloggers to do the same AND include a link to their blog. Let each person know that they have been tagged and finally post the rules on your blog.

Ok, this is a weird meme thing or whatever it's called. Like me, just without the "meme thing or whatever it's called" attached to it like a piece of toilet paper.

I see no point in doing this, since I just proved right there in that one sentence that I am extremely weird. I found some pictures that I am going to use to help me with this thing. Here goes nothing.

7) This is totally me, I like to draw, so if I draw wonder what something would look like, I just draw it like that. Definitely weird.
6)Haha, that is like my favorite picture ever. Also weird, I know.
5) That describes me in a nutshell. No matter how much I don't think my common facial expression is weird, most other people do. So there. I guess that is a weird thing about me too.
4) OK, so I don't really. But I wish I did, then I could beat up people who say "Smile Tori!" too much... *cough cough Mrs. Hill *cough cough. Excuse me, I seem to have a slight cold... haha. I can only fantasize about having ninja powers though, which is weird too.
3) Ahh... the story of my life. And also very true I'm guessing. I don't know if this is really "weird" or not, but I think it can be considered "weird" so it is. Which probably makes me weird.
2) I so want to know what it is like to ride the short bus! Weird? I bet you think so...
1) If ice cubes could have feelings, they would definitely be jealous. Which is weird too. So there is the meme thing. It was really weird. Weird is a weird word. Haha, say that ten times fast. I would say that would be pretty weird too. Lol. Weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird.

I am tagging weird people. Seven of them. Here they are: Mom, Tammy, Melissa, Brenda (I would tag her twice if I could... lol. Weird I know), Anna, Kim, and Nate. (No excuses, you can meme in a comment too, and you are one of the weirdest of them all)

Totals

Here is the results of the voting:

Cran-Hill-IIIIIIII
Haiti-II
Littlest Petshops-II
Homegroups-III
New Camera-I
Crayons-I

I like using those "I" things because they make it look like there was more votes!! And there was a lot too, actually I think 9 comments is a record for me!! *hint, hint... lol. If you try to add them all up, that is not 9, I know. My dad voted for every one of them I think and a couple people voted for two things I think. And one of my friends from school voted without a comment. Cheater... :D.

I don't have time to update about that right now though, because I have to read like a million blogs, and I have youth group tonight, and my goal for this year is to exercise more, so I have to do that too. If I have any time left over, I need to listen to these Creole tapes I got, since they are due back in 2 days and I have about 3.5 hours left!! Yikes. So I better get off now and get to work!!

Vote please

I have LOTS of things I want to post about, but I don't know which one. I am going to make a list and you can vote for which one you want to hear. But, don't give in to blogger pressure and vote for what everyone else is voting for, okay?

Cran-Hill
Haiti (23 days until I leave!! yay!!)
Littlest Petshops
Homegroups (funny video and pics)
My new camera
Crayons (short but funny i think...)

That is all I can remember right now. And don't worry, I will post about all of them eventually, but the one with the most votes I will blog about first and the second hightest I will blog about second and so on. and if some don't get any votes, then they will be in another vote later maybe.

So there is my update.

T 2da O 2da R 2da I and back again

:-D :-) :-P :-O :-B haha. that was fun. Happy faces. Lol.
